I still don't understand how the two detectives took Jay's testimony seriously after he lied multiple times. It's also interesting how Jay tries to disassociate himself from Adnan in some of the early episodes. He even calls Adnan his "ex-friend". Meanwhile, Adnan has no ill feelings toward Jay.

I also thought it was weird that it was Jay's girlfriend's birthday but he didn't even really care to spend much time with her.
