Let each state decide. If I may quote this weird thing I read one time: quote: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

You beat me to it.

Blatantly illegal. Yes Birth control is part of insurance plans, right? Abortion is a choice between a woman and her doctor (Period). None of this state bs. It is a federal issue that it is legal in the whole US.

You can't legislate one free abortion and them none at all. That's crazy.

It is a federal issue artificially. The word abortion is not in the constitution. It took a contortion by the court to claim it's a violation of privacy rights. Even the most strident pro choice legal scholars squirm at the interpretation. Ginsberg said it Roe was an absurd ruling but she supports it because of the resulting effect.

lessen the need and the want for abortion through safer sex education and birth control access

Of course the religious thugs will never allow this.

What if it was consensual incest?

I know. The pro-life community has a problem with rejecting pragmatic solutions, in favor of trying to push a religious agenda.

I'm not sure of the medical consequences of the end-product. Are there more birth defects? I've always heard there are, but truly don't know what studies or science has shown.

Basically if the sex is consensual, then then by definition, consent was given, so I'll allow it. Even though it's fairly disturbing IMO.
