If RP would have ever played at the level of JW there would be no way Les would have dismissed him. Les probably weighed his risk versus reward and came to the conclusion that RP wasn't worth the risk.

RP was the future at the time . Came in and helped win the SEC Championship.

LOLZ. He dismissed RP and TM7 and I believe that potentially cost us national titles in 2009 and 2012. Miles gives you 3 strikes and then you're done. Doesn't matter who you are. Winston would be indefinitely suspended at best. Likely gone.

One of the many reasons I respect the hell out of Miles

Do you not remeber him in 2007 at all? Do you not remember that SECCG? The WRs and RBs we had in 2008, we're just waiting for a competent QB. The last great TE we had in richard Dickson? We could have at least won a shootout against UGA (Lee threw 2 pic 6s, we lost be 14), and beat Alabama (Lee threw 4 pics, 1 pic 6, we lost in over time by 6) and Arkansas (lost 31-30 with JJ's first start). I'm pretty sure we beat every other team that year with Perriloux, besides UF.

Disagree. The man's last two games he was the SECCG MVP and an integral part of the BCSNC game. He was going to keep the 10 or more win seasons rolling and quite possibly win another SEC title; maybe more. Les knew darn well he was forfeiting most of his shot at those things when he booted Perrilloux, who, despite his wayward road, was still good enough to make it to the NFL. Very possible Winston would be gone, not only from LSU but a number of other SEC schools as well.
