Graphic is extremely misleading.
Coaches salaries are generally paid by athletic departments (and private booster foundations) that have huge revenues and donations. Their salary is not directly supported by the university (public funds).
To lump them in with other gov't employees is flat out wrong.

This. Miles draws a big salary from LSU as a state employee, but the overwhelming majority of his pay comes from Tiger Athletic Foundation.
