Physically speaking (arm strength, speed of release, athletic ability) it's not that much of a stretch. He can throw as well as anybody, and he has way more athletic ability than the other elite qbs currently playing (i.e., Manning, Brees, and Brady).

He doesn't have the longevity, but his TD%/INT% and other important numbers, I'm pretty sure put him above every other all time best QB. Though I haven't checked in a season or 2.
