A health care worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital has tested positive for Ebola after a preliminary test, the hospital said in a statement.
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital is where Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States, died on Wednesday.

Where is Jesse Jackson at now? He wants to complain about patient care when the health care workers are risking their lives.

I'd quit before I took care of anyone with Ebola.

I said it before, but trying to treat these victims is Lizzie playing with the walkers. This shite's gonna keep multiplying, it's going to mutate and become airborne, and it's going to be the end of us all.

One group of researchers looked at how Ebola changed over a short period of time in just one area in Sierra Leone early on in the outbreak, before it was spreading as fast as it is now. They found more than 300 genetic changes in the virus. "It's frightening to look at how much this virus mutated within just three weeks," said Dr. Pardis Sabeti, an associate professor at Harvard and senior associate member of the Broad Institute, where the research was done.

This proves how easily this shite spreads. The CDC and government are lying about the severity of this.

I sense a little over reaction in this thread, but how does this shite happen?!
If I worked in a hospital with an Ebola patient I'd insist on wearing a bubble suit.

The thing is, you know these people were in full PPE. How do you get Ebola if you're following procedure and wearing PPE?

Meanwhile, the virus gets to multiply and mutate in that victim for as long as it lives. And what about the people in the ER that first treated the victim, before it was determined it was a victim. Can't put everybody in a bubble suit.

From what I understand the virus works so fast that those people would be showing symptoms right now.

Yet it keeps spreading.

It's going to be the end of us.

Why didn't all those people in the apartement with the guy who died contract the virus?

Apparently, it's not yet airborne person to person. The more chance it's given to multiply, the more opportunity it has to mutate and become airborne person to person. The multiplication needs to be stopped.

Maybe they did and are afraid to go to the hospital.

It sounds horrible, but if they cannot prevent the spread of this, then they should quarantine those few with it and treat them away from civilization... The CDC is supposed to cdCONTROL the spread if said events. This isn't even airborne, how the hell does that happen!?

The first time Duncan went to the ER the disease wasn't diagnosed and no extraordinary precautions were taken. Given the 2-3 week incubation period, people exposed to him during that visit would start showing symptoms about now. Look for a few more people of the hospital staff to come down with the disease.

That's exactly what happened after the disease was diagnosed properly. I think local health departments would be responsible for enforcing a quarantine, not the feds.
