The team seems much shallower than it used to be.
No shite that is what happens when your team loses 4wr, 2RB and a QB to the NFL - very hard to recover from that. Tell me what other team has gone through this??? What's the coach supposed to do, not coach them up to their peak ability so they stay? Lol

other than QB, have we really had issues at RB or WR? do we have depth issues?

We got depth issues with our fans. You negatigs

les exhibits this all the time when he tells the offense "i don't trust you", and he's done this since 2005
I believe this (and the obvious botched recruiting and lack of development) is the main problem with the QB position. And most would say that Qb is the most important position on the field. He instills zero confidence in them. That coupled with the shite show of an offense is why most people find it unbearable to watch at this point.
If you throw out QB's that were recruited by Saban and developed by Jimbo and a Juco transfer recruited by and at least partially developed by Richt what are we left with?

As has been said many times before, it's not like we are rebuilding from a great team. Those players were great, no doubt, but there was no surprise in them not being here anymore.
Maybe the DTs leaving early was a surprise, but does that explain why the DTs we have are so unimpressive? Does that explain the DEs? Linebackers? Oline play?
I think saying that players left early is a way LSU fans have of coping with the lack of talent they see on the field compared to the old days when it seemed like we were always chomping at the bit for guys to move on so that we could see such and such stud that was waiting in the wings.
Go look at our 2006 roster and then tell me that we haven't come down a notch in talent, even if all the early departures didn't happen.

despite what you may think of the "sunshine pumpers", we're all watching the same games, and we see the same lingering issues and problems that you do. you say you know the reason, we say we do (17 freshman vs 2 top 5 teams doesn't help) but we all agree that LSU football should be more than it is right now.
but, and you must know this, Miles will not be fired this year. it's not gonna happen, regardless of what PoonHunter17 says about him on a message board. your best bet is that he chooses to go to Michigan (Miles, not PoonHunter), a very real possibility, in which case your constant attacks could only hurt in some way.
so is there any chance you could just say frick it, for a month, for 4 games. not for us, not for Miles, but for LSU. for the players on the field, the future of LSU football. go all in. try to remember why you love LSU in the first place.
if you go to the games, stay, and scream, as loud as you fricking can, until you black out. let the players know we're behind them, let the other team know we genuinely hate them, let everyone know that this is Saturday night in THE Death Valley.
much of your frustration is completely justified, no one denies that, no one denies that you want the best for LSU, but we are at a crossroads. so could you maybe just ratchet things down for a month. bite your tongue if you can. give this team a chance to get better, to improve, to fight, before you pass judgement.
if things are no better after that, if we still can't complete a pass and the other teams QB is still running right down the middle of the field, go nuts. use every profane word you know, make up new ones, you have my word I won't argue with you.
we're all LSU fans, can we put the animosity behind us for a month and just say frick it, say hold my beer and then run blindly into a wall like the idiot fans we are.
it can't hurt. it might help.
This self serving crap is what drives me nuts!!! EVERY Tiger fan, including all the Negatigers scream their heads off cheering for the Tigers. They all go crazy everytime we score and party all night after every win! Why do the Pro-Miles (that's what positiger means after all) sunshine pumpers think they are the only ones rooting, cheering and screaming for this team???
We just hope LSU wins IN SPITE of MILES!!! Give me a break!!!

You and your ilk like to act like the rest of the SEC is as mediocre as it was then.
Competition for players in the SEC has increased tremendously.
Talented players don't grow on trees. That's why LSU has had to go out of state a lot recently to keep the high talent flowing in.
Some of you act like the SEC is still in a 2006 environment. It's a tell tale sign of people's football intelligence if they understand the landscape now.

So your negatiger position is that other SEC programs are bettering themselves at our expense and that Les has not been able to sustain the program once the SEC got better?
Here's my position. Even when the SEC West sucked (comparatively, according to you), Les wasn't good enough. He's not good enough now that almost every other program has a competent coach in place.
Why do you want to stick with him? I got it when we were in the running every year for a championship, but I do not get it at all now that we are not.

You and the SFP's of the world like moving the goal posts to try and make Les sound like an awful coach.
I think it is really impressive how Les has kept LSU in the hunt over a 10 year period especially in a consistently improving overall conference. While also putting up the best record in program history to go along with 2 outright conference titles and 3 west championships plus a national championship win and another appearance.
You can spin it how you want to. But it looks ridiculous if you spin it negatively.

we're talking about 2006, right?
JR, Flynn, Bowe, Chevis, etc
tons of out of state guys on that 2006 roster

not THAT much has changed, except some programs have replaced others. UTenn has slid big time, for example. Bama has risen

The accusations by "positigers" that "negatigers" are not cheering for or wishing for the success of the team are trite and tiresome.
