I don't know if the OP will have answered this for himself by the time I hit submit on this post, but I'll let you know why lots of folks (me included sometimes) watch prior shellacings.
There are many, many folks whose mood is, to one degree or another, affected by the outcome of LSU football games. When our team is pummeled the way it has been in the last two conference games, folks whose mood is VERY affected by those outcomes are interested in knowing, in the infamous words of Richard Pryor, "HOW LONG, MUST THIS bullshite, GO ON." Thus, they'll re-watch pummelings in the hopes that that upon further review and analysis, they see something - some ray of hope, or some glimmer of sunshine - that says "this too shall pass."
It's pretty simple really. Folks that re-watch bad losses aren't masochist. They just want to hopefully find something, when looking deeper, that gives them hope.
