Every time me and my friends would get a ride we would use the obligatory "thanks for the ride lady" .

Same here...Late Friday nights, we'd turn off the kitchen lights and watch it together with homemade rootbeer floats.

I miss the old lady.

The Outer Limits was a good one, too. There was an episode adaptation of George RR Martin's "The Sand Kings" with Beau Bridges that was an awesome story, but sadly fell flat on screen.

He also wrote for the re-tooled "Twilight Zone" in the 80's, but I think his only episode that was his was about a time-traveling Vietnam Vet...it was pretty good

Both are on Youtube somewhere...

ETA: Oh, yeah...what I came here to say:

I found a first ed/ first print "Creepshow" NEVER EVEN READ!!! (at least the binding has no creases) at Half-Priced Books over the weekend for 25$.
My copy, bought new in '82, was so ragged out from friends at school borrowing it I hated to display it.

If I can find that Holy Grail 1st print "Salem's Lot" my collection will be complete.
