After their NC loss in 2009 they went a resounding 5-7 and then never broke 9 wins again. Mack was done.

that's because Mack didn't give a shite about recruiting or what his players were doing off the field.

thats why Strong has already kicked off 9 players

I couldn't enjoy the last 5 years because we were behind in the 4th Quarter 37% of the time.

Let's look at the last 4 years:

South Carolin a is definitely one.

They've been 9-5, 11-2, 11-2, and 11-2

Alabama = 10-3, 12-1, 13-1, 11-2

Oregon = 12-1, 12-2, 12-1, 11-2

Stanford = 12-1, 11-2, 12-2, 11-3

Oklahoma = 12-2, 10-3, 10-3, 11-2

Nebraska = 10-4, 9-4, 10-4, 9-4

LSU = 11-2, 13-1, 10-3, 10-3

And several more. Not as impressive as you'd hoped.

Nope. USCe only won 7 games in 2009.

Appears that the four teams are: LSU, Alabama, Oregon, and Nebraska.

Not true at all. Recruiting rankings according to Rivals:
2009 - #5
2010 - #3
2011 - #3
2012 - #2
2013 - #24

So he stopped recruiting his last year and still managed to average a top 8 recruiting ranking his last 4 years. Les' 2012 class was #18, which isn't much better than 24, but yeah, he gave up on recruiting.

or what his players were doing off the field.

He was a players coach, no crap. My point is simply that previous success, even in recent seasons doesn't mean much.

I referenced the last 4 years rather than the last 5 in my post. Reading comprehension. There aren't many 5 year seniors anymore, so I don't get the point of looking at 5 years back.

But we're playing in The Year of Our Lord 2014. Jet pilots don't need rear view mirrors.

It's not about 5 year seniors or players, really. 5 years is just a good reference point. I'd love to see 8-win teams in the last 10 years.

It's a reference point chosen to pad his stat. 4 years is more relevant than 5, period. You can't arbitrarily pick one at your convenience. By just changing it one year, and say go 6 years, LSU is out of the running, so it's that simple.

It's quite simple - the only thing that will satisfy the morons here would be something that has never been done in college football history. Anything less just doesn't cut it. You can't win every year. And this team will win a title 2 years from now. And when they do, then lose 2 games the next year, people will still be calling for Miles' head.

Mack never recruited....his staff did. if you were a 4 or 5 star and you wanted to come to Texas than you were offered. thats why his classes were always full by October

Why do you care about an exhibition game that goes in zero ncaa record books and the players and coaches have zero control over even making the bcscg. In 10 years all bcs titles will be laughed at. Bcs titles are the most subject title in all of American Sports.

And you would be the first one shouting from the rooftops IF Miles and LSU had won even ONE of those BCS bowls, god forbid all four of them. So, since we didn't win any of them, they are now all insignificant.
