Good to see somebody has some leadership qualities on this team.
Staff sure as hell don't.

Good. Time for them to get their shite together. Hopefully something positive comes out of it

I wouldn't overreact to this. The guys are probably trying to reaffirm to the youngsters that Les is a great coach and the man to lead them.

I respect it if that is the case, although I disagree with that angle.

Still, good to see some leadership coming from the players.

The players haven't given up on this season. Too early for me to quit on them. Saturday was rough, but we have to come back strong to beat UF.

Havent been seeing any football players in the quad just sitting chilling like usual. This is a world record cuz that was a given every single day until monday came and at peak quad hangout hour there were none.

Shows they are not quitting - which is more than can be said for some of their 'fans'.

There was a post earlier this week with 'rules' to be a fan - don't really know about all that. But I will give the benefit of the doubt to some of the naysayers and presume they are passionate fans that may not know how to react to some bad news. If that's the case, here's some pointers:

1. Being passionate =/= coming off like some half-baked expert on the game based purely on what you did in high school or how many hours you've logged on the sofa or in the stadium. And let's say you are by chance correct in your 'analysis'; so what? Do you get an 'I told you so' win? Do you really think that coaches with a cumulative 100+ yrs of experience haven't thought of whatever brilliant insight you've elucidated? Maybe the coaches have a basis for disagreeing with a given strategy - whether they're right or wrong, your crying won't change that.

2. Want to be a passionate fan? Try couching your arguments in a lighter spirit. Your man/woman/person-hood is not really on the line here. Don't forget to have fun. Oh yeah, and cheer for your dadgum team!

I can't recall very many times in my life where a "players only" meeting was a predecessor to good things for the team involved.
