I'm thinking that the Barry that went back in time to stop Thawne from killing him merged with child Barry. Kind of like when Barry went back in time in last night's episode, there was only him and not a second Barry.

OOOooooooohhhhh!!!! Very interesting! But then what happened to Future Barry's knowledge? From last night's episode he seemed to retain his memory of his own recent past.
