Yes, after LSU lost to UAB, LSU fans were saying it was the end of the world.

To me, the problem is losing the talent evaluation skills of Ron Cooper.
We hired a great technical coach as a replacement (and our secondary really has had good technique with Raymond) and he's is a good recruiter too, he is good at getting the guys we target.
Therein lies the problem though IMO. We are not identifying the elite players as early as we used to. We blanket offer all of the big names like everyone else in the country, but we aren't getting a jump on these kids.
Cooper is missed badly.
I couldn't help but ask myself this morning how different this team would look if a Saban wasn't the greatest recruiter in cfb history and back at Alabama.
Just consider a few Louisiana kids he has beaten us for (and I can't fault anyone for this, it is what it is, Saban is the GOAT recruiter)
Landon Collins in martins spot.
Tim Williams over rasco
Devall at mike
Cam rob on the line
We are not nearly as talented as we used to be. Oh well.
This has been my fear for a few years. Alabama has a scouting department that rivals and surpasses nfl squads. They have a genius at marketing handling their propaganda. Guess we are cool with the 300k budget still though since we don't travel as much as them

Nah. You are detached from reality if you think the situation we are in now is just business as usual. You have to go back to DiNardo's last two years to find an equivalent.
But your sig quote says all anyone needs to know. Keep up the good fight.
