Good info.
Not being a huge audiophile I've always wondered what the difference in mono and stereo was. I have several LPs I got when my grandfather died that say they are mono, mostly big band Benny Goodman stuff. Never could tell a difference in sound, but I'm on a pretty basic setup with a low grade cart. Though my receiver does have a Mono setting. Only thing I notice when I flip it over to Mono is the bass is more enhanced.
Unfortunately he was extremely racist and had no rad jazz albums.

Went to half priced books earlier and picked up some records:
Elvis Costello - Imperial Bedroom (probably my favorite I picked up)
John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band (great find - record is in great shape)
Jimmy Buffett Live
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Marty Robbins - Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs (record is in horrible shape unfortunately - will barely play but it was only 3 bucks)
Steely Dan - Aja
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Elvis Costello - My Aim is True
ELO - Out of the Blue
Pink Floyd - Ummagumma
Will the Circle be Unbroken - various artists
Merry Christmas from Andy Williams.
