Marco, I’ve decided to go with an older 5 channel amp (B&K AV 5000 series 2) that I got on the cheap, it still sounds very good and probably one of the two NAD masters series streaming amps. I think I will still need a table with a pre amp. Do you think an svs sealed 12” sub would work with this system or are there better options?

Depending on where you’re at Brit... and if you want used or not. I‘ve been looking to move my VPI Nomad to get a different table, it comes with the pre amp built in. It has a ortofon red cart installed.

Need some advice on a new AVR. My Denon AVR-X4000 bit the dust last week and I need a replacement. Don’t want to buy Denon again, don’t need 4K support, and don’t mind buying used/refurbished.
I only need 5.1 or 5.2 and AVR will only drive center and rears (emotiva amp for fronts, powered SVS sub)
Don’t need an integrated phono preamp but I wouldn’t mind it, either.
Prefer at least one optical video input
Banana plug speaker terminations
The kicker....I only want to spend $300-400. It’s been a while since I’ve shopped so not sure which brands are now considered garbage due to manufacturing/ownership changes. Not that I’m getting anything top of the line for what I’m spending but that expensive arse Denon left a bad taste in my mouth so want something dependable.
Suggestions would be appreciated

Getz/Gilberto, 2020 Verve Acoustic Sounds Series
Releasing 2 a month and are supposed to be on par with the Blue Note Tone Poets. This thing is stellar! Wow... I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for these.

Post it if/when you can. I saw Dave been doing some Facebook live stuff, wish they’d open some shite back up. Musicians are hurting...

I haven’t, but if it’s like their usual stuff I’m sure it’s great as well. I went for this one bc of the 33rpm, price was decent, and was curious about this new series. I’ve been on a big jazz kick lately.

I was wondering because I've had the Analogue Productions on my wantlist for some time. But, it looks like this is pretty much just a single, 33rpm version of that pressing.
Both sterling mastered. Both QRP pressed. Almost identical runouts. Looks like I might just save some $$$ and roll with this one

As of late, this thread has me feeling like I am in a SoHo Café surrounded by jazz poets that resemble this cat...
So before you all start posting pics of early acoustic Dylan spinning on the turntables (it starts with heavy doses of the old Blue Note guys, and before you know it, you are quoting Ginsberg and Kerouac while packing a pipe with flavored tobacco), I’m gonna throw some local, heat-generatin’, nasty boogie-woogie at ya...
