Why can't Welter yell in the alignments from the sidelines?

Seriously, how hard can it fricking be for everyone to line up correctly. Welter telling them where to be is NOT working!

I'm not saying Welter's a better player than Beckwith. But Chavis must see something in Welter that he doesn't see in Beckwith. The coaching staff wants to win just as much as we do. My problem with all of these Welter threads is all the shitheads that go on and on about Welter being the only problem with the defense. Oh if Welter wasn't in the game we wouldn't have been scored on. Welter gave up 299 yards rushing to the opponent all by himself. Blab, blab, blab. He's just a student athlete trying his best.

Louis has played just as bad a welter. I'm really hoping debo jones or duke Riley get more snaps as well. Both seem to have a nose for the ball.

Unfortunately, with Welter, what we've seen thus far, a giant hole.

What should we expect

a bunch of running into the blocker, and a bunch of missed tackles...but our D will be organized!

You can bet Auburn is preparing and game planning to gouge LSU's middle and probably licking their lips anticipating the expected starting lineup.

We SHOULD expect welter to be the 3rd string MLB. What actually happens remains to be seen.

Reasons - cannot or will not shed blocks
- goes into many hits with head down
- runners drive him back consistently
- great at getting in at end of play
- doesn't drive through tackles
- doesn't seem at all aggressive
Might be a great field coordinator, but at some point needs to actually act like a linebacker

That long run by Prescott was just a perfectly timed call by Miss St.

They went empty so it wasnt the read option, we blitzed Welter, and Miss St called a straight up QB draw opposite of where Welter blitzed.

That was ok Chief more than Welter.

watch welter when he's in. he has a hard time reading the play. he takes really bad angles and ends up usually being the last one to a pile and jumps into it. somehow he keeps getting credit for these "tackles". it's kind of ridiculous honestly.

This is a worthy sentiment. I took my fair share of heat when I was there.
