I was homeschooled. 5th grade through 12th. I was a high level gymnast, so I got to work out everyday. It was a good path for me (I probably would have been a hellion). I got a 29 on the ACT and was a very social child (and adult). Most kids I knew who homeschooled were quiet and a bit super-religious. But to each his own.
We were Catholic and used a very good college-prep correspondence curriculum. It became very apparent early on that my mom and I had zero patience for each other, so I taught myself. I knew what had to be done because I read all of the lesson plans. My experience was not typical at all, but it worked for me. Good luck!

Not saying their are unique clusters of homeschoolers, but this is why the homeschool stereotype exists
