As BHP pointed out. I would assume a few things are drivers.

1)Far more opportunities for safeguards to fail. A 98% safeguard is probably great if you only run into the occasional person with ebola. But, of course, as numbers grow.......

2)They don't have anything vaguely resembling the type facilities we do here so, it's probably a fair bet that they don't have 98% safeguards.

Thanks for the replies. I'm just very leary about the "only contracted through bodily fluids" statements with the number of medical staff contracting it.

Maybe I'm having a flashback from the movie Outbreak. "It's gone airborne!"
