He could and I wouldn't be surprised if he did but it won't go anywhere.
Coach will just say that he didn't know if the kid was armed and wasn't taking any chances. And, for legal issues, it may very well be in his job description to act as some sort of "last resort" on field security. That wouldn't be a shock, either.

LSU kicked a grad student out of school who was just about to finish up. of course he was naked when he went on the field.
