You never know. She could've taken two steps into the woods and opened up like a hose pipe. It's happened to me before.
The coyote we shot this morning hardly bled at all. Found him piled up 10yds in the woods.

Had a huge bodied buck last year that barely bled with double lung. 30 yards with no blood. Only made it 60

We are in Madison County Mississippi....no dogs.
Found my arrow and again no blood. Only got about 5 inches if penetration including the broad head.
Scoured the woods and no luck on recovery. I believe I pulled my shot and hit her dead in the front shoulder joint.
Still sick about her possibly dying from infection.
