At this point in his career Jennings can't throw, run, make progressions, or read blitzes, at least not very well. The last two games have made that pretty clear. When your qb fits that description it kind of limits what you can run

In 2012 Mettenberger was god-awful at seeing blitzes and took some big shots and bad sacks because of it. Also, Jennings' touch and accuracy on the deep ball far exceeds anything Mettenberger ever had in both of his years as LSU's starting QB.

Jennings has made some bad plays and I think his confidence is at it's lowest point. But, while I do think that Harris has earned the chance to start, Jennings is NOT the horrible QB that everybody on here has made him out to be. Go back and watch the Wisc. game. You'll see two deep balls that were perfectly placed to Dural, along with a crossing route that was dead on the money. Couple that with two well timed and on-target throws to Diarse (who doesn't have a chance to run after the catch if they aren't) and you see a guy who has ability as a passer. I just don't think he is very comfortable as a "drop-back" passer which LSU is asking him to do. And with him being a first time starter, coupled with Miles' complete fear of his QB's making a mistake, I promise you the coaches are not asking him to go through too many progressions on his reads. It also doesn't help that your OL has been awful.

Both of the QBs came from HS where they played almost exclusively from the shotgun in offenses that were more spread out than what LSU want's to do. The difference IMO is that they have forced Jennings to play from that system, while allowing Harris to run more plays from an uptempo shotgun style offense (even if they are still running the ball from those formations) Again, I'm completely ok with Harris being the starter. However I hope Les doesn't hamstring him like he has IMO with Jennings. If you think Harris is talented, let him make plays

I'm pretty sure your watching a different Jennings on a different LSU team in a different universe! The Jennings the rest of us watch does throw a great deep ball to one guy, all his other throws he sucks at. Harris hit 7 different receivers in a little under 2 1/2 quaters.
