I think Jennings is getting too much blame. Now, grated he did his best JJ impression but if you look at the drives he had:
The 3 drives with turn overs all were our of Les's favorite I-formation. The 1 drive we score with Jennings had him running the spread. Most of Harris' early drives we're run out of the spread also. If this isn't an eye opener for miles to start playing 2014 football then hes a frickig moron.

Jennings will never run the spread like Brandon Harris. Ever.
Our score with Jennings from the spread was done, I think, almost entirely on the ground.
Harris has the zip on the ball that is required. He also possesses the elusiveness and top end speed to make the spread more effective.
With Dural on one side and Dupre on the other, the box will open up because Harris has the arm strength to throw sideline to sideline. But, opposing DC's will still have to respect his threat to run, and with their safeties having to cover over the top, this takes another position to spy him and will open up the running game.
With Jennings running the spread, they know he doesn't have the arm strength, nor the elusiveness of Harris when running the ball, and will not respect him enough to drop the safeties out of the box or spy him, thus leaving them a man up defensively.
And of course, this has led to Jennings having some success over the top in man coverage, but the go route is not a high percentage play, allowing us to control the ball or the clock. Whereas, we will be able to do this by keeping the ball on the ground when they open up the box.
