I got one a couple of years ago at Home Depot. I don't remember the brand, but it has a Honda engine. It was about $500 or so. Works great.

My 2 cents as a 4 time homeowner over 15 yrs(used alot of pressure washers) is I probably will never buy one again.

1. renting them is cost effective if you plan to use it 1-3 times a year.

2. no matter how good you treat your pressure washer, when you own one, your friends/family will borrow it and frick it up.

and DEFINITELY don't buy electric. Bang for $ is in gas.

My electric is a little red one from Lowe's or Home Depot. Can't remember the brand right now. It has been used 2-3 times a year, and usually running all day when I'm using it. I know I got it back in 2005. We moved into our townhouse on New Year's Eve 2004 and I bought it to wash the deck before stain/seal was put on. Then we moved into our house around July 4th in 2007, and I cleaned the old deck a couple of times with it before we replaced the boards with composite decking in 2010. I've had to clean those a few times over the years, as well as the driveway and sidewalks, and some other stuff. It has a brass fitting you screw onto the hose, and it has worked great for years. Had two separate wand attachments for it. One that is a circular pattern that is non-adjustable, and one that is more of a flat/fan shape that is adjustable for pressure and shape. I mostly use that one and get it about 2/3 pressure and a medium width on the fan shape. Can't get too close to the deck with it, but it is enough to clean it off without damaging it. I think it is 1700 or 1800 PSI at max.
