You can also buy an adjustable gas plug for about $40 and then you can shoot any production 30-06 ammo. Just put it in on the lowest setting and then shoot adjust repeat until the action cycles. That way you can set the amount of gas going to the action for any round you want. I think the M1 garand would make an excellent pig rifle.
