We lost a pretty good QB, a great RB, and our 2 best combination receivers of all time,

That's nice. A&M lost more than that...and they have the #2 ranked offense in the country.

Our "next year" QBs rarely got quality snaps during the year.

Kenny Hill had less experience than Jennings coming into the year, and media outlets are promoting him as a Heisman candidate.

The expectations can never be too high at a place like this. If anything, you don't want the expectations to slip.

Other teams lose plenty of talent each year to the NFL as well, although I don't see Alabama fans begging for an 8-4 finish this year...

Cs is right. Expectations are high because of the money put in these days. You have been in the top 10 in recruiting for more that 5 years now. Other teams change their philosophies according to who they have recruited, but not good ole Less. He plugs two spread option, pistol style QB's into tight arse formations of which they have never played before. Its like watching a damn goaline offense every play. Nothing that Miles has done in the past will suit any of the players we currently have. Now, he can right the ship and change the scheme or stick to his old stubborn as ways and let the ship explode.

And Bama is rolling along offensively with a QB that hasn't previously taken a snap in a live game and a transfer.
