this. if your offensive line doesn't do shite correctly it doesn't matter if you run spread or I-formation.

what bugs me is that we have 2 QBs who made great plays and good reputations in HS as mobile, dual-threat quarterbacks who made plays with their feet as well as with their arms..

we can't tweak the offense a bit to include some spread looks to put Jennings and Harris into their comfort zones? It is obvious that neither of them are 100% comfortable running an I-Formation, stand-in-the-pocket type offense...

The flip side of that is that if everybody executes their assignments, any scheme will work. But the point of the scheme is to give the players the best chance to succeed in their assignments. If they can't do what you're asking them to do, ask them to do something that they can do.

This we can agree on....wouldn't have mattered if OJ, Adrian Peterson, and Emmitt Smith were all in the same backfield together, they still would have got canned.

Wouldn't you say that when we line up in the I formation and twin tight ends and the other team loads up close to the line, like on the goal line, that it makes the job of the offensive lineman harder?

Everyone knows that. That's where the change has to come from, and not the Obama kind of change...
