What is the board's opinion of Coheed and Cambria?

Just wondering if they are viewed favorably in this neck of the TD woods...
They have a different sound, the lead singer has a series of comic books called "The Amory Wars", and their music is based mostly (as far as I can tell) on said comic series.
Clearly, I tend to enjoy their music more than most. I even enjoy their acoustic cuts (some more so than the studio versions).
What say ye?

great live band. singers voice is too geddy lee for me though. i've seen them with AFI about 10 years ago and they were great.

They were actually part of one of my first concerts. I went to see Linkin Park, and it turned out that Chiodos opened for them (catchy band, not great by any stretch), and Coheed was co-headlining. I thought they were 10x better than LP.

I saw them open for Killswitch Engage at the Sugar Mill several years ago; they brought it. Great show, great musicianship.

Think they are a great band but their best is behind them. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 is a top to bottom fantastic album!

Favorite band, absolutely incredible live. They've fallen off a bit since Good Apollo, but The Afterman was better than the last two albums so they might be on an upward trajectory again. They're supposed to start recording #8 in January, so I'm looking forward to that.

I've seen them live probably 5 times now and I think they keep getting better. I listen to about 75% of their past two albums (sort of a double album) on the reg.
They just did a Yahoo Live show in Dallas.

I am definitely enjoying The Afterman: Ascension right now.
Also, "Here We Are Juggernaut" and "Feathers" are a couple of my favorites.

You don't often use a word like "beautiful" to describe a song for the style these guys play, but "Gravity's Union" is just that.
