Le Pigeon and Farmhouse Cafe are right next door to each other. Right across the street is Burnside Brewery, which also has solid food and beer.

Lincoln - very good.
Produce Row - reasonably priced with a good tap menu
Beast is great.
Portland City Grill has the best views of the city and Mt. Hood.
Pok Pok - Thai. Legendary chicken wings
Pine State Biscuits - if you want to eat like arseinclarse for breakfast or lunch.
Ken's Artisan Bakery is world class pizza.

Honestly, you can drive along N. Williams or Mississippi Ave and find something interesting to stop at. Lot's of interesting restaurants and stores.

For lunch - Food trucks. Tons of them around Portland. You can get on-line reviews, but I mainly just look for the lines. The good ones have longer lines. Not scientific, but....

Lardo - good sandwiches.

Breweries - have good food and beer. Deschutes, Cascade, Hair of the Dog, Hopworks Urban Brewery, Ecliptic, Lucky Lab, Brigeport, Laurelwood, etc...

McMenamins - they restore historical properties and make brewpubs out of them. They have restored old hotels, churches, theatres, barns, houses, and schools. They are all over the place. Cool atmosphere with good food and beer, reasonably priced. Don't go at lunch, as service is usually not fast.

Salt and Straw - Ice cream. Really, really good ice cream.

Voodoo is OK. Mostly a cool experience and people watching. The best donuts are at Blue Star - they are expensive, it's quality over quantity.

There are lots of good restaurants in Portland. They are big on sustainability...

Is that chicken local?

And don't leave your dog tied up outside a restaurant.
Who's dog is that?

And be careful in the vegan restaurants.

My wife and I just went to Oregon to visit the coast and wine country. We spent one night in Portland and ate lunch at Lardo's before heading to the coast, I thought it was great.

I had a pork belly gyro that was excellent, and my wife got a Pho'rench Dip (instead of au jus to dip in, it used Pho broth) that she said ws awesome, but the best thing may have been the fries that had scraps of pork, various peppers, and cheese

There were so many food trucks that looked good in that block where they all are; I wish we had had time before cat5ching our return flight to try them out.
