In 2006, Senior Joe Tereshinki got the starting nod at UGA for presumably having more experience and a better grasp of the offense.

However, it was Stafford who eventually became the full-time starter, presumably to focus on the future.

Should Miles make the same move with Harris?

for the record, here is Stafford's stats from that season. It's quite obvious he wasn't just THAT much better than Tereshinki and Joe Cox (the other QB at UGA that season):

135 for 256, 52.7%, 7 TDs, 13 INTs

Backup QBs are the most popular players on the team. I don't think Les feels any pressure from outside sources to make decisions. If Jennings is healthy, I'm sure he'll get the start. He needs to make more plays, but he is secure with the football. All the talk about offense...that defense needs to improve too.

This QB "controversy" is the most overblown reaction to the MSU game. You knew that was going to be the case when LSU was lucky enough to have MSU snap the ball over the QB's head inexplicably giving LSU a chance to win a game in which they were completely dominated.

Here's my take. Start any of the QBs. It won't make a bit of difference when your defense is getting gashed for 570 yards (much of it right up the middle) and 34 points

I remember that season, and that it was still a shock that it somehow translated to a win at Auburn.

UGA didn't have near the weapons we have at WR and these are different times.

There are several true freshman QBs right now and last year who had way better numbers than Stafford's gunslinger arse. He was and is, pretty much just a big armed QB. Calvin Johnson is still his only saving grace.

Jennings is only a sophomore. If he were a senior that was under performing then I might buy this logic.

When the offensive philosophy is to run the ball 70% of the time then why bother starting a true freshman to just hand it off?
