Louisiana is poor without federal money..
100% of african nations have universal healthcare. 100%. But healthcare is nowhere to be found there. Why? Because the government has no way to get the money, since the private sector is so poor.
Europe's immense wealth is the ONLY reason why they can afford such extensive safety nets.

Yes my highbrowed friend....and the new nation of Louisiana would be even poorer and would have even less of a safety net than it does today....thus it would be akin to a third world country...except it wouldn't be because the United States already has one festering cesspool of corruption and poverty on its southern border and another one is simply not tenable....

bullshite...the only reason Europe is able to afford such extensive safety nets is because you and I provide them secure, stable markets for their manufactured goods. Without US Military spending Europe would have to foot the bill for their own national security and wouldn't have the money to take off all of August....
