Why would I be embarassed for realizing that entitlements and subsidies in red states have a significant impact on those states economies?
It's not really a red/blue issue. But feel few to continue the jersey wearing, face painting, rah-rah my team is better politics.

Riiiiggghhhhhhttttt...that is why nations without entitlement subsidies are called third world nations....lots of them just a little bit south of us.
But seriously....do you have any evidence that the Louisiana (or any state) economy would be better if you suddenly eliminated all federal entitlement programs? Seriously, what would all of those section 8 housing owners do for tenants? Where are all the low wage employers going to find viable employees? Certainly your not suggesting that Wal-Mart and McDonalds actually pay an employee enough for that employee to survive on their own, are you?
What about the 16,000 employees at Fort Polk and their $600 Million Payroll or the $4.5 Billion spent on military bases in the state? Are you seriously suggesting that the Louisiana economy would be better off without that spending and those jobs?
