re: Gone Girl, Official Thread (*Spoilers After Page 5*)

Alright guys, WOW. Haven't read the thread yet, but I think I'll have some unpopular opinions.

First off, heading into the theatre, the only thing I even thought I knew about the movie was the girl in it might be an a-hole or crazy. And I was still very vague in that.

I'm not too concerned if anyone believes me but VERY early I leaned over to my girlfriend and said, "she's framing him for murder." The gf thought I was crazy.

That said, I still let it play out...and can easily say I've never experienced so much holy shite/wtf is going on/my mind is blown for that long of a period in a movie. I mean, I was in a constant state of OMGEJFHDUGJDBOMG.

Once she came home I was pretty let down, which probably isn't fair to the movie, because it was for pretty selfish reasons. I so wanted them to out this bitch. That level of crazy needs to be outed and locked away forever.

The biggest thing I can't get over is him not decking her in the face when she first arrived home and then singing like a bird to every news outlet he could find. There's no time to ponder how the shite you feel about finally seeing her. Every person on the face of this earth would have lost their fricking mind right then and there, whether they wanted to or not.

And nobody would stay with her. Nope nope nope. There's no way humanly possible to be ok with even sleeping in the house with her! Just, NO.

And I thought it was weak how it was assumed he'd look like the worst man in America if he spilled the beans. He sat there and got shite on and torn apart by every person on the planet and came out being 100% correct. After that, his word was as good as gold. Plus forensics would be able to disprove a shite ton of the self inflicted things she did.

Even after all of this, Gone Girl will probably be the most memorable movie I ever see. And I enjoyed the absolute shite out of it.
