oly shite I just saw mine and I went from $41 per pay period to $319 per pay period with an extra $1,000 deductible!!!
Not calling you a liar, but theres no way I believe that all things being the same between 2014 and 2015, that your deductible could go up over 700%
The state would not allow that to happen. Insurance companies have to get approval for rate increases. Most look to be in the 20% range, which is still a lot.
What changed on your plan? Did your employer quit providing coverage and you are now footing the whole bill?

switched from Aetna to Blue Cross Blue Shield. This is for the same plan (roughly, except for a couple of the co-pays increased and deductible increased)for my wife and I that I had this year. You are correct that the company subsidized some of it last year and now they are not subsidizing this similar plan this year.

This year we faced increased medical premiums due to continued pressure on rates from increasing regulations due to ACA (Healthcare Reform), overall cost of care in general and high utilizations (claims) of the plans. In order to provide you with the best possible options for you and your family, we have taken a close look at all our plans and even considered moving to other carriers.
After reviewing our options from other carriers, we have decided that based on the substantial increase in medical premiums that we received from Aetna this year, that it is time for us to move our medical coverage to another carrier. Effective 11/1/2014, our medical provider will be BCBS of Texas, who has one of the top nationwide medical networks in the United States. Our dental, vision, life, and disability plans will remain with our current providers for another year.
