You know it was based on a play written by Aaron Sorkin right, who adapted his play for the screen? And is also the creator of The West Wing, and The Newsroom, in addition to other idealized ideas of what a leftist run world should look like? And is also a noted mushroom abuser???? Seriously, I'm not sure it is anti-military, but Aaron Sorkin is a lefty.
Don't forget The American President, which even Obama called "an Aaron Sorkin liberal fantasy.
Great movie, but yeah. Everything that comes out if that guy has some kind of left wing spin.

I still enjoy that movie with the exception of his speech at the end. The funny thing is, growing up I thought that's an awesome, charismatic speech. Now I'm like, "You are batshit crazy Mr. President!"
The environmental strain running through the movie doesn't really bother me, but the whole "I'm gonna get the guns" shite is just

I can't even say that was an attack on Christianity; it was more to show Kendrick as a self serving hypocrite.
He said the only two books he had were the Marine Corps Code of Conduct and the King James Bible but violated the basic tenets of both.
This. He gives his little speech about "THE KING JAMES BIBLE" but is perfectly willing to place his hand on it, swear to tell the truth, and then lie his arse off. He's nothing but a hypocritical coward.
As far as Col. Jessup, I could have at least empathized with his position had he not tried to cover it up and instead took full responsibility for the Code Red.
