The Uggla signing was not bad when it happened. We needed a second baseman and we needed a power hitter. There was no indication that Uggla would become that shitty the second he stepped into Atlanta.

As for BJ, yeah, that was fricking stupid.

There is not a lot of truth in this statement nor was Uggla remotely deserving of what Wren agreed to pay him, + he was a 2B and played average to mediocre D.

He didn't pay CJ the same kind of money with the extension, but he was out of his mind again. Two power guys on the team in J-Up and Gattis, Gattis can't be an every game player, and you extend a 3B with no power? Where did Wren think the HRs were going to come from? I like FF, but I don't know that he is going to become a 30 or better HR guy, either. Then you have Simmons who wants to be a power hitter instead of what he should excel at. This lineup has so many guys who need to adjust their self image to fit what they should be able to do, not what they dream of doing.
