re: Sighting in a Rifle: Do you put the target dead-center or just below the target?

I sight in my rifle 1" high at 100 yards. At 200 yards, if I aim at the bullseye, I'll be 2" low. That's my hunting setup in a .308 Winchester.

If you are 1" high at 100, depending on what grain bullet you are using you should be pretty close to being dead on at 200. I sight in a little high at 100 as well, but that is so I am dead on at 200.
