i hardly see this as apple's fault but i understand your anger.
i had to order mine through work, my ship date is 11/11.

The reason I blame Apple mainly is because their delay in opening their online store most likey led to the carrier stores getting flooded. its like the interstate collapsing and people jamming up the surface streets.
Also, it was 100% their responsibility to notify me Tuesday when they realized they had an issue with my order. Instead, they sat on their asses and just let me keep believing I was getting a phone on the 19th.
