First off it looks fantastic on my HD 72
While I do see some of the problems mentioned it's still a damn fine movie and the final fight scenes are balls to the wall awesome
Anyway I also noticed some nods to Jurassic Park
Helicopter over the island
MUTO breakout scene
Kids and driver watching from the bus during the rain reminds me of Lex and Tim doing the same watching the T-Rex
If you liked the movie it's a defiant buy for Blu-Ray. If you haven't seen it, pick it up on Redbox

Rewatched Cap America WS earlier and I didn't like it nearly as much. Not bad by any stretch but not what I remember.
Might rewatch Godzilla again tonight and see if my opinion has changed. I need a picker upper (I just watched Filth, see other thread) and a bunch of cities being destroyed might do that for me.

Bought yesterday. A few of the scenes were dark, but not "OMG SO DARK IT'S AWFUL" like some people were saying after the blue ray reviews. The final fight with the MUTOs was so awesome. Wished we would've got a little more Godzilla, but I was still entertained.

i downloaded an HD copy on my PS4 & it looks great, but i might still get the 3D version.
hoping the "statue of liberty" scene shown in the trailers ends up on the inevitable extended cut...

I never got the love for it. I liked it, but there was nothing mind blowing about it. There's always the fundamental problem that CA is simply a lame character.

How someone can say this after watching the Winter Soldier is mindboggling.

He's ok, but compared to almost every other comic character who has a movie, he's a kind of lame. His powers are tame and his personality is pretty bland.
