The upside is a public school system that is safe, where there's discipline in the schools, highly qualified teachers and principals, and closer to home.

The incorporation vote does not determine if SG gets a new schools system.

Odds are, a new school system won't happen simply because the rest of EBR Parish would have to approve a breakaway school district and that's not going to happen.

Your statement is the biggest obfuscation of facts surrounding the St George incorporation effort.

Therefore your "upside" is not an upside.

bullshite. Look no further than the "your taxes are going to go up" comment for the biggest obfuscation of facts. Or we could talk about the whole race-baiting from the red-handed thieves in BR.

MThe goal is to eventually have an ISD, and while it is no sure thing; it is how these things work.

Ask Monroe, Bogalusa, Baker, Zachary and Central how they formed their own school districts. SG is just following their lead.

So yes, that is the biggest upside. I did not say it was a certainty did I???

Correct. The scorched earth "us vs. them" strategy used to create a city has all but guaranteed that an ISD will never happen.
