I really wanted to dislike Brooklyn 99. But it's really good.
Really good. Give it another shot or two.

Because they enjoy it. Does humor not have a place in music?

Damn you hate Weird Al too?!?!
As for Samberg, I've enjoyed just about everything I've seen him in.

First of all, Lonely Island isn't parody music. At all really. It's original hip hop songs that are just funny in nature usually. And those guys are good at what they do...Lonely Island is legit good.
As for Samburg, I think he's funny enough. He's not some comedy genius or anything, but he's pretty funny in some movies, even though they're mostly bit parts (Hot Rod notwithstanding, obviously). And he's funny on SNL sometimes, mostly in the digital shorts or his Wahlberg/Cage impressions, which are pretty spot on and hilarious.
I do think he goes to the "I'm gonna act like this is obvious and you're supposed to laugh because it's supposed to be funny" well a little too much, but that doesn't really bother me.
Oh, and I thought he NAILED the Franco roast bit. I laughed a good bit at that.
And I don't watch Brooklyn 99, but have heard really good things about it though.
