Agree, this game wasn't completely bad. I still think they have Vaccaro playing a bit too far back, but at least he wasn't 45 yards off the LOS. Cam Jordan is easily the best player we have on the DLine right now, hoping Jenkins opens more opportunities up if he returns during the season.

Also the lack of penalties is a huge win for this team. I pointed it out on another thread, but if there is any category you can point to and see an improvement, it's the overall clean play on both sides of the ball. If they had a ton of penalties like during the preseason, none of these games would have been even remotely close.

I think this week we'll see a lot of things come back full circle on the defensive side of the ball. I think Payton gave RR a lot of flexibility with making many of the decisions on Defense, but I'm willing to bet he is about to reign him in because we can't lose the 3rd game at home. He has to let these guys play to their strengths, and not to the scheme. This is similar to the problem that Spags had in New Orleans - trying to change too much in a short period of time.

Seems like Junior is nearly invisible after signing that contract. Kinda disappointed because I was hoping for the Cam and Junior show again this year.
