Funerals are so people can mourn the loss of a loved one. It provides closure for the family and friends.
Some people just don't need a funeral or service to find closure. If that's you, I'm jealous. People grieve in different ways. A funeral service is just a tradition.
Sadly, I've been to more funerals than weddings.

This is me, I've lost several people that I was very close to and never really mourned. Now granted, if anything ever happened to my son I would go insane.
