Fournette is absolutely quick laterally and trying to change directions. He doesnt look it when he is slowing down/reading blocks/thinking...but when he is 1 v 1 with a defender in space you can absolutely see it. He has light feet and can make really quick subtle moves. That jump cut to the left he did vs Sam Houston was an incredible. Defender was sitting in the hole and had fournette dead to rights and Fournette just accelerated hit that jump cut and looked like he was yard and half outside and looking back at him. That was a move Kevin Faulk used to do to create space...Fournette doing it with greater speed weighing 30 more pounds was amazing. He did play better last night, and he looks different than all the other backs...when he hits the hole hard it is at another speed than all the other backs. He is coming along, but he is def going to be a great one...forget the hype...he is for real.

There were a couple plays where he read his blocks wrong, would have had much more yardage...I think once he calms down/settles in and realizes every play doesnt have to be magnificent...that 4-5 yard runs are ok too...he will be even better because he will play faster, not overthink things. I also love that Cam is putting Hilliard/Williams as fullback/inside runners on plays where they threaten LF to the outside...they dont need to be blockers on those plays...so thats a great way to get the big backs on the field together and pressure the linebackers/safeties.
