Was able to catch this flick this evening. I loved it. Great cast. Probably won't be for everyone, but if it's playing anywhere near you I highly recommend it.
And the song that closes out the film is just sublime.

Although I head that Fassbender is a supporting actor in this movie rather than a lead, which may or may not be true, I would like to say that if he is nominated for an Oscar, then Andy Serkis should be nominated for an Oscar for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
I made this argument in the Dawn thread on if motion capture should get nominations for best actors, or if a new category should be made.
Either way, in this case, you cannot allow one and not the other.

And now it's stuck in my head again.

Rented this on amazon last week. Despite it being a cool indie flick about indie music I just was not that into it. I really wanted to like this movie and actually watched it again the next day and felt the same way. I can see where some will love Frank, it was pretty funny in a quirky, Wes Andersony kind of way and Fassbender is awesome. I just felt the writing lacked some rhyme, reason, and emotion and ultimately, most of the movie is forgettable. I gave it a 3/5.
