Played at NLU early mid 90s.
From rayville.
6-1 250 beast tailback.
Run over you and by you.
NLU may wish they had him tomorrow.

Yeah I remember him. Played with the colts in the nfl didn't he?

Didn't he play for the Colts? Did Roymon Malcolm do much at Auburn (I think that's where he went)

Vincent Brisby was also in that class. WR from Washington Marion. Played for the Patriots. Doug Pederson was the QB and Jackie Harris was the TE. Harris played for the Packers.

They played deleware one year in a playoff game at Malone stadium.
My dad and I went and sat up in upper deck... I remember it being cold as shite and Potts manhandling kids.

Early 90's, only Miami had more QBs in the NFL. They had Brister, Humphries and Pederson all in the league at the same time. They had more talent in the late 80's and early 90's playing in I-AA than they do now.

Saw NLU play Western Kentucky in the playoffs the year NLU won the NC. Fun game. Lots of fireworks on offense for both teams, but not much defense.

St. Aug coach Cyril Crutchfield was the free safety on that team. Very physical safety.

Back then, coaches brought the letter of intent to you and you signed it in person. Potts would always imitate how Billy Brewer reacted when he signed with NLU. Potts was comparable to a high 4 star or 5 star recruit so Brewer showed up first thing in the morning. The story goes that the NLU coaches showed up with the Sheriff and the Sheriff supposedly told Potts he couldn't leave the state because of his legal issue.

Yes sir, he was a stud RB at NLU and they had Vincent Brisby at WR. Think Potts played for the Colts and Brisby played for the Pats. They stomped the shite out of Alcorn and Steve McNair one year. Guess that was early 90's
