Just was asking an honest question. how fast is he really?
One of the fastest players on our team according to Les Miles.
Certainly considered very, VERY fast for a 230 lb running back.

Yeah, but honestly you are the worst kind of fan possible posting this dumb shite.

Plenty of those on this board.

the play calling isn't helping him out much....these stretch plays are not for him. let him pound the rock north south and bounce that shite out to the house!

He's played 2 games, one of which he had over 120 all purpose yards..
did PP7 look like a first rounder, all American, and Thorpe winner after his first two games? Did he even get in on defense?

This board is comical! If I don't say he wins 4 heismans I'm "THE WORST KIND OF FAN?!" That's rich

Multiple players and coaches have been quoted saying he is one of the 4-5 fastest guys on the team. I'd say his 40 is mid 4.4's.

I agree with this actually. He has looked better going north/south and cutting against the grain when he sees daylight. Burning energy trying to outrun people to the edge isn't what he should be doing IMO. He's a monster, let him take on the big boys.

It has nothing to do with what you said about him.
It has to do with the fact you're trying to judge a true freshman RB's career from his first two games. And the fact that there is probably 75 more threads just like this one.

It seems he ties his shoes with a single knot. He could run faster if he wasn't worried about his shoes coming untied. Someone should talk to him. Jeremy Hill and Adrian Peterson always doubled up...the proof is in the pudding.

yea that's why I tried to approach the subject sensibly. Obviously the posters on this site have had their jimmies rustled by the LF haters... clearly they think I'm another one. that's ok though, I half expected these types of responses

those 2 long runs he had against sam houston had elite written all over it....just wait for him to gain his footing. we haven't seen a cut like that in a long time.
Posted on 9/11/14 at 9:09 am to LsuAlum13
People were comparing him physically to Adrian Peterson, Which is actually accurate.
And the 4 Heismans shite was a joke, nobody actually believes that.

I'd also like to point out that Adrian Peterson was the #1 guy on day 1 at OU. Fournette is in a system that has 4 running backs splitting carries, 2 of which are accomplished seniors who are also team leaders.
All of our RBs, including LF, could've hit those holes Hilliard had against Wisconsin at the end of the game. That would've given him the stats everyone is creaming their pants for. We just split carries at LSU.

I feel like no one noticed he looked awesome against Sam Houston. Granted the competition level is low, but we are still pumping up Dural.

Another 'run down' thread. Some people have a bizarre definition of 'ran down'.
As discussed already, the first quarter run which is cited, the defender that made contact first was always closer to the goaline then he was and LF curved back into him. He was not run down.
the run in the 4th:
When LF was at the 26, #13 was at 24
When LF was at the 21, #13 was at 20
They were event at the 15
By the time Fournette was at the 4, the dude was diving forward and missing his ankles.....
How that gets construed as 'run down' is beyond me.
He is one of the fastest guys on the team and that is clear. And oh by the way, we have a lightning fast team this year.
Funny thing is if he did not Heisman, he probably has atleast a few more carries, atleast one or two more TD and we have a 100+ multi TD game - and these threads don't exist.
