Guys one last question (maybe). We're looking at staying in New Orleans Thursday and Friday. Someone recommended the Monteleone Hotel, but they're booked for that Friday night
Any other not crazy expensive hotels near Bourbon St. we should check out?

There are lots of good options. The Royal Sonesta on Bourbon is a good bet if available. Close to lots of restaurants and center of action.

Honestly, I understand the excitement of Nola, but I'm not sure I'd stay there Friday. The longer drive you have on Saturday, the less time you have tailgating.
Also not sure how good Nola is to people under 21. If y'all have good fake ID's it's a blast, but otherwise, not a lot of options. I'd probably do Nola on Thursday, then go to BR for some Tigerland Friday night.
But that's just my opinion, man.

Something is going on down there because the hotel rooms are high for that time. Have fun, wear your colors. If we see you we will feed and hydrate you!

Try the Loews hotel. Great location, and often a little cheaper. Very nice place.

If you plan to bring beer you cannot get here, Yuengling (Black and Tan) good option.
