I was actually referring to the shrimpers, not you so my apologies for any confusion. But to answer your question, the customers won't. They'll move on to other providers and comps except those who (like me) will buy local product and support local economy before they do so for oversea imports despite costs. Which could push the prices higher for local shrimp despite artificial inflation caused by forced reduction of supply by the shrimpers which in turn the rise in prices would increase their desire to provide the necessary supply due to those increased prices, which will then again cause supply to exceed demand which will again decrease the price and resort in the same cycle again.

That's a mouthful.
I refuse to buy foreign, I would just stop buying altogether. The restaurants are the ones with the tougher decisions.
