This. I really don't believe he is D1 talent. He had one other offer I believe and that was from Northwestern. Compared to other MLB's in this conference it doesn't seem he is at the same level. If Beckwith is capable of making the calls then Beckwith seems would be the better player. Bigger, stronger, faster.

the fact that welter is the starter at the most important position on D tells you everything we need to know.

I noticed in one play of the replay that the other smaller Wisky back dragged Welter about 3 yards after contact.
