This team has the potential to be great

All LSU needs is better Defensive Line play. Rasco and Godchaux played well, QT played average, and Hunter and CL played soft and clumsy. If Herron, Neal and Bain come back to provide depth and more talent, then I will be encouraged. We won't know until Moo State though.

Godchaux was the best of the DTs and he's a freshmen. He will be a beast by the end of the year if he remains healthy.

LSU also simplified it's offensive line run blocking scheme because Pocic was having trouble with the NT shifts/slants and couldn't complete combo blocks on running plays. In the second half He starts releasing to the second level immediately and allowing the NT from UW to slant himself out of the play instead of trying to run after him and allow the LB to run free. Of course it was the 2nd team NT in the second half so that helped, but better scheme also played a role.

Iron this crap out and LSU will improve quickly. Only major concern for me is interior Dline play and Hunter needs better balance and technique.

Hunter needs to play contain on the edge and LBs need to fill the gaps. Lots of breakdowns there. But, that is Defense 101 and should be fixed.
